Bend, Oregon – May 3, 2018 – Clifton Cannabis Law announces the hiring of two attorneys and a Business Development and Marketing Director. The new attorneys, Stephanie Marshall and Bethany Ace, bring a wealth of business, land use and real estate transactional experience to the growing firm. Amanda La Bell brings strong marketing, leadership, and organizational skills. All three will be based in the company’s Bend office. From its offices in Oregon and San Diego, the firm now services clients in three legal cannabis states: Oregon, California, and Washington.

Marshall is a land use, real estate, and transactional attorney licensed in Oregon and Washington state. Marshall’s background includes over twenty-five years practicing for nationally-based law firms, running her own firm, Marshall Hicks Law, LLC, and she has been a Deschutes County Hearings Officer, experienced in review and enforcement of local property-related regulations. She was a Senior Associate with Ball Janik in Bend, a Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the King County Office of Prosecuting Attorney, Land Use Division in Seattle, and was with Williams Kastner, Davis Wright Tremaine, and Foster Pepper prior to that.
 
Marshall graduated from Willamette University College of Law with honors in 1993. After practicing law in the Seattle area until 2006, she moved to Bend and has enjoyed the vast recreational amenities of the Bend area since then.
 
Ace brings nine years of litigation and commercial transaction experience to her role at Clifton Cannabis Law where she will focus on the trademark, commercial, and litigation needs of the firm’s clientele. Her experience, gained at esteemed Hawaii firms including Chun Kerr, LLP and Damon Key Leong Kupchak Hastert, includes litigation in the areas of commercial disputes, land use and development, contract disputes, condominium law, complex foreclosures, and collections. She also served the needs of her business, real estate, and corporate clients, preparing advisory opinions, business contracts, land use and conveyance documents, and other transactional documents. She is licensed to practice law in Oregon (active) and Hawaii (voluntary inactive).
 
Ace was born in Hawaii, raised in Maryland and educated in Michigan, where she earned her BA in Honors Psychology from the University of Michigan in 2003, and graduated with her degree in Law in 2005. She moved to Bend in 2015 and is engaged with her pets, gardening, hiking, and creative writing.
 
La Bell’s background includes over 20 years in marketing, advertising and business management at the largest national real estate and vacation ownership companies. Her most recent endeavor was starting a non-profit focusing on underprivileged children in Central Oregon. La Bell was born in the United Kingdom to U.S. military parents and raised all throughout the United States eventually calling Florida her home. La Bell graduated from Valdosta State University in 1999 with a BA in Music, Vocal Performance and a minor in Theatre Production. She moved to Bend in 2017 with her husband, 3 children, 2 cats and 1 dog.
